Inca Lagoon
This lagoon is located
2,860 meters above sea level in the middle of the
Andes Mountains, near the border between Chile
and Argentina. Of glacial origin, in this long,
green lagoon we can see the reflection of “Los
Tres Hermanos” (The Three Brothers), located
at the end of the lagoon. By the end of winter,
a large part of this lagoon is frozen.
Portillo Ski Center
Located about 159 kms
north of Santiago, at 2,860 meters above sea level,
Portillo is one of the most beautiful, oldest and
most famous ski centers in the country. Among its
attributes, this center has a snow machine, and
runs where world speed skiing records have been
broken.. |
The Inca Lagoon is located more than 2,800 meters above
sea level in the middle of the Andes Mountains, surrounded
by large snowy hills where we find the oldest ski center
in Chile: Portillo.
 Itinerary
The excursion begins with the group departure from Santiago
at 7:00 AM for the north, to Portillo ski center.
Once we get to the Lagoon and the equipment is ready, we
will do a short practice on paddling and basic safety. After
this, we will begin the excursion around the lagoon, keeping
near the shore and with brief stops to enjoy the surroundings.
Lunch will be eaten on the opposite shore from where we
began, and after a break, we will go back.
We will return to Santiago at about 8:00 PM.

- Physical condition
compatible with the activity.
- Know how
to swim.

to the Inca Lagoon.

lifejackets, paddles, spray skirts, safety equipment, and
dry sacs).
