Torres del Paine National Park
The National Park Torres del Paine is, without doubt, one of the most spectacular national parks in the country. A world biosphere reserve, it has a huge variety of plant and animal species which, with its incredibly beautiful setting has made it an almost unequalled destination for hikers and backpackers, ecology-lovers and adventure sportsmen alike. Snow-capped mountain peaks, cascading rivers and waterfalls, glaciers and mirrored lakes: in all respects Torres del Paine national park deserves its reputation.

Once you have finished your visit to Torres del Paine National Park, your return to Puerto Natales doesn’t need to be the common one. We invite you to choose the best alternative to come back to the city, much more fun and exciting…. What do you think about going down the Serrano River in a Sea kayak? This river joins two national parks and is the maritime connection between Puerto Natales and Torres Del Paine. Is a two days trip to Puerto Toro, where we make a connection with a major embarkation, which will take us to the city through the “Ultima Esperanza Fjord”
If the weather allows it you would be able to have a spectacular view of the Paine massif, and later of the majestic Tyndall, one of the many glaciers of the South ice field.
You will have the chance to appreciate virgin lands of exuberating vegetation, thousands of birds, and after a little while of paddling The “Chacabuco cordillera” and the “Balmaceda Mountain” will appear imposing in front of your kayak.
Itinerary
Day 1.
7:30: Departure in our vehicle from Puerto Natales to the sector of Serrano, located in Torres del Paine National Park (if you are already in the park, we will pick you up from an accorded point).
10:30: In the border of the Serrano River we will initiate the instruction for a safety and comfortable navigation. We will load the kayaks with the necessary equipment and with your luggage, if you have too much (more than a big bag per person) we’ll take it to Puerto Natales where it will remain safe in our offices until your arrival.
12:00: The adventure begins. We will paddle to the Serrano’s fall (a beautiful cascade), where after a short walk (200 metres approximately) and the carrying of the kayaks, we will avoid the waterfall.
*You have to take in consideration that from the beginning to the end of the kayak trip the itinerary can be modified, of course owing to the famous Patagonian wind.
16:00: We will look for an appropriate camping site. Depending on our advance it would be the Tyndall gazing or the Pekin Guerrero’s Estancia.
19:00: A delicious dinner and a good rest will restore our strength allowing us to keep enjoying this adventure through the Patagonia.
Day 2.
07:30: A complete and healthy breakfast will give us the energy to paddle to Puerto Toro.
08:30: Ready to paddle.
11:30: Arrival to Puerto Toro, where after a little trek we will be able to see the Serrano Glacier.
13:00: The beginning of our return to Puerto Natales in a major embarkation through the “Última Esperanza Fjord”.
14:30: Lunch in “Estancia Perales”.
17:40: Arrival to Puerto Natales, in case of having luggage we go to the offices to pick it up.
