Alternatives

Pichilemu
Known as the surfing destination, Pichilemu is a small beach for swimming about 129 kilometers to the south east from Santiago. Its waters are cold during any season and the waves are known to be high and regular.

Ritoque
Located to the south of Quintero, Ritoque is a place characterized by its large area of sand dunes. The beach is 12 kms long, and is good for surfing and on shore fishing, especially in the late afternoons.
The sand dunes in Ritoque have shells with traces of the Ritoque culture.

Salinas de Pullay
Located to the north of Papudo, this is a large beach with regular waves, ideal for learning to surf with a kayak. Here you can see the moon, sun, ocean, river, Andes Mountains, the Longotoma sand dunes, the lagoon that forms when the tide comes in, and many birds at the same time.

Kayaking or rafting in the waves can be as fun, with as much adrenaline as in white water rivers. This program can be done at any of the three beaches with the best conditions on the central coast: Pichilemu, Ritoque, and the Salinas de Pullay.

Kayak Australis Itinerary Itinerary

Gathering of the group in Santiago and transfer in our vehicles to the beach destination. This can be done at Pichilemu, Salinas de Pullay or Ritoque, depending on the sea conditions and time available for the day.

Once at our destination, we’ll prepare the equipment that we’re using then do an introduction to the techniques that will be used throughout the day: turning over, paddling, weight balance, wave surfing, etc.).

Raft or kayak surfing can be done alternately. The program is very flexible and the rest and lunch time can be decided on by the group.

We will return shortly before sunset.
